My class and I visited our local beach; hence, we all took water samples and explored a little around the area. We took the bus and had a great time.
My water sample was taken in area two. This was right next to two fishing poles and a pier. I collected it in a clean container for juice. I have about 128 fl oz that includes about one centimeter of sand. We did not see any fish because we didn’t go deep enough, but we did see many dead animals on the shoreline. We saw many jellyfish and crab shells. We did not see any fish because we didn’t go deep enough, but we did see many dead animals on the shoreline. We saw many jellyfish and crab shells. Obviously we saw seagulls, we also saw what I am almost sure is a willet. In the brush right next to the street we saw a couple little birds. The little bird might be a white-bellied plover. Walking on the shore we saw we saw a large abundance of seaweed. They were filled with flies and have a bad aroma. There were many weeds. They were not that close to the shore but they sure were there. The beach was formed by many thousands of years of erosion, waves, and sunshine. |
